Altec Aerial Devices and Other Equipment: Damaged Cylinder Feeder Tube May Leak Oil

Altec is recalling certain 2020-2024 Altec LR7 and LR8 aerial devices. The hydraulic cylinder feeder tube routed near the cylinder rest bracket may become damaged and leak oil, which can result in uncontrolled boom movement.

Altec will replace the cylinder rest pad and the feeder tube if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 22, 2024.

Altec is also recalling certain 2023-2024 aerial devices, digger derricks, pressure diggers, service trucks, reel lifters, pressure washers, and articulating crane models built on a Freightliner M2 Plus chassis. You can find the specific vehicle make and model details on the recall report.

The lighting wire harness may be overloaded, preventing the vehicle lighting from illuminating.

Dealers will rework the lighting wire harness and update the trailer module as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters for this recall are expected to be mailed August 12, 2024.

Chrysler Pickup Trucks and SUVs: Disabled Electronic Stability Control

Chrysler is recalling certain 2022 Dodge Durango SUVs and Ram 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks. Due to a software malfunction, the ABS control module may disable the electronic stability control system. The recall involves over 211,000 vehicles.

Dealers will update the ABS control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expecting to be mailed July 26, 2024. 

Chrysler Pickup Trucks: Loss of Drive Power or Park Function

Chrysler is also recalling certain 2023 Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickup trucks. An insufficient weld in the transmission control unit can allow transmission fluid to leak on to electrical components, resulting in a loss of drive power or loss of park function.

Dealers will replace the valve body and control unit, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expecting to be mailed July 26, 2024.

Chrysler Vans: Missing Door Beam & Incorrect Label

Additionally, Chrysler is recalling certain 2021-2024 Ram Promaster vans. The vehicles are missing a side door beam, and the tire placard contains incorrect seating capacity information. 

Dealers will install a door beam and apply an overlay label, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expecting to be mailed July 26, 2024.

Chrysler Pickup Trucks, SUVs, and Vans: Rearview Camera Image May Not Display

Chrysler is recalling over one million vehicles, due to a potential issue with the radio software that may prevent the rearview image from displaying. 

The recalled vehicles include the following models:

  • 2021-2022 Dodge Durango
  • 2021-2023 Chrysler Pacifica
  • 2022 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500
  • 2022-2023 Ram Promaster
  • 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L
  • 2022-2023 Jeep Compass, Grand Cherokee, Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer

A Stellantis spokesperson confirmed with Government Fleet that the remedy will come either via an over-the-air software update or an update through the dealer. Customers are asked to follow the instructions on their recall notice.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 2, 2024.

Daimler Trucks: Loss of Steering from Tie Rod Separation & Wheel Detachment from Loose Wheel Hub Fasteners

Daimler Trucks North America is recalling certain truck models because the front axle tie rod ball joint studs may crack and break, which can result in tie rod separation. The recall includes the following 2025 makes and models:

  • Freightliner Cascadia
  • Freightliner 108SD
  • Freightliner 114SD
  • Freightliner Business Class M2
  • Freightliner Custom Chassis S2RV 106
  • Western Star 47X
  • Western Star 49X

The recall also includes 2025 Freightliner S2C 106 transit buses, cabs, and chassis.

The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 3, 2024. 

Daimler is also recalling certain 2025 Freightliner Custom Chassis MC, MT45, MT45G, MT55, S2C 106, S2RV 106, XBS, XCM, XCP, XCR, XCS, Freightliner 108SD, 114SD, Business Class M2, and Western Star 47X, 49X, 57X trucks. The wheel hub fasteners may loosen and cause the wheel to detach, which can result in a loss of vehicle control.

The recall also includes Thomas Built Buses Saf-T-Liner C2 transit buses, cabs, and chassis.

The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters for this recall are expected to be mailed July 30, 2024. 

Driverge Transit Vans: Seat Back Malfunction

Driverge is recalling certain 2023-2024 Ford T-350 transit vans, equipped with certain GO-ES Space Saver Foldaway Seats. The recliner mechanism may not engage when the seat back is fully reclined. The estimated 41 vehicles included from this manufacturer are among a larger recall of vehicles equipped with the GO-ES Space Saver Foldaway Seats.

Driverge will work with the equipment manufacturer to inspect and repair the seats as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed June 13, 2024.

Ford Pickup Trucks: OTA BCM Software Update May Disable Reverse Lights

Ford is recalling certain 2021 F-150 pickup trucks equipped with the Onboard Scales feature. An over-the-air software update to the body control module (BCM) may have disabled both reverse lights.

Dealers will update the body control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 1, 2024. 

GM Pickup Trucks: Incorrect Tires Installed

General Motors is recalling certain 2024 Chevrolet Colorado pickup trucks. Incorrect tires may have been installed that do not match the tire label, and the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) may provide inaccurate information for the installed tires.

Dealers will inspect and replace the tires as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 8, 2024. 

Hankook Tires: Incorrect Tire Identification Number

Hankook is recalling certain Kinergy GT tires, size 235/60R18H H436. The tires contain a tire identification number (TIN) that is missing the 4-digit week and year code mark.

Dealers will replace the tires, free of charge. The manufacturer has not supplied a notification schedule yet.

Kovatch Fire Trucks: Park Brake Failure

Kovatch Mobile Equipment (KME) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Predator fire trucks. The incorrect relay valve may have been installed, which can prevent the park brake from engaging and allow the vehicle to roll away.

Dealers will inspect and replace the relay valve as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 3, 2024.

Mack Trucks: Loss of Steering and Drive Power & Loss of Steering Control

Mack is recalling an estimated 860 2025 Mack AN, GR, and TE trucks. The drag link may contain an improperly heat-treated ball stud that can fail, resulting in a sudden loss of steering control.

Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the remedy has been completed. Dealers will inspect and replace the drag links, as necessary, free of charge. 

Mack is also recalling certain 2024 MMDe electric trucks and MD trucks. The battery management system software may cause the high-voltage battery to shut down, which can result in a sudden loss of steering control and drive power.

Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the remedy has been completed. For the MMDe trucks, dealers will update the battery management system software, free of charge. For the MD trucks, dealers will inspect and repair the mechanical connector lock as necessary, free of charge.

Owner notification letters for both recalls are expected to be mailed August 2, 2024. 

McLain Boat Trailers: Incorrect GVWR Label on Trailer Brake Actuator

McClain Trailers is recalling certain 2024 10K, 12K, 15K, and 18K boat trailers. The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) listed on the trailer brake actuator is incorrect, which can allow it to become overloaded.

McClain Trailers will mail corrected labels to owners, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 28, 2024.

Nissan EVs: Unexpected Loss of Drive Power

Nissan is recalling certain 2023 Ariya electric vehicles. O-rings inside the electric front traction motor may have been damaged during assembly, which can result in an internal oil leak and an unexpected loss of drive power. The recall includes an estimated 84 vehicles.

Dealers will replace the front traction motor assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 12, 2024. 

North Central Emergency Vehicles: Overloaded Electrical System May Cause Fire

North Central is recalling one 2021 Ford E-450 vehicle equipped with Weldon 8X16 Input-Output nodes. In the event of a short circuit or wiring failure, the firmware in the node may fail to shut off the output pin, resulting in overloaded electrical circuits. This is part of a larger recall of emergency vehicles equipped with the same Input-Output node. 

Weldon will update the firmware, free of charge. The owner notification letter is expected to be mailed June 2024.

Paccar Trucks: Broken Ball Stud May Cause Loss of Control

Paccar is recalling certain truck models because the tie rod or drag link assembly may contain an improperly heat-treated ball stud, causing the ball stud to break.

The recall includes the following 2025 makes and models:

  • Kenworth K270, K370, T280, T380, T480, T680, T880, W900, W990
  • Peterbilt 220, 536, 537, 548, 567, 579, 589

Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the remedy has been completed. Dealers will inspect and replace the tie rod and drag link assemblies as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 11, 2024.

Rivian EVs: Side Curtain Air Bags May Not Deploy Properly & Improperly Aimed Headlights

Rivian is recalling certain 2022-2024 R1T pickup trucks and R1S SUVs. The attachment clips on the upper B-pillar and/or C-pillar trim panels may have been damaged during a service procedure.

Rivian will replace the pillar trim panels, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 26, 2024.

Rivian is also recalling certain 2023-2024 electric delivery vehicles, R1S SUVs, and R1T pickups. The headlights may be improperly aimed.

The automaker will inspect and adjust the headlight alignment as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 6, 2024. 

Terex Bucket Trucks: Controller May Fail to Keep Platform Level

Terex is recalling certain 2022-2023 TM bucket trucks. The master leveling controller may lose the ability to level the platform if power is lost while squeezing the enable trigger.

Dealers will reprogram or replace the leveling controller, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 9, 2024.

Tesla EVs: Seat Belt Warning System Malfunction

Tesla is recalling certain EV models. In the event of an unbelted driver, the seat belt warning light and audible chime may not activate as intended. The recall includes the following models:

  • 2012-2024 Model S
  • 2015-2024 Model X
  • 2017-2023 Model 3
  • 2020-2023 Model Y

Tesla will release an over-the-air (OTA) software update, meaning no visit to a dealership for repair is required. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 27, 2024. 

Vermeer Vacuum Excavator Trailers: Improperly Manufactured Trailer Frame

Vermeer is recalling certain 2023 LPSDT vacuum excavator trailers. The frame may bend or become distorted, which can result in a loss of stability and control while towing.

Dealers will repair the trailer frames, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 1, 2024.

Volvo Trucks: Sudden Loss of Power Steering Assist & Loss of Steering Control

Volvo Trucks is recalling certain 2025 VN and VHD trucks. The steering gear may have an improperly seated plug in the valve housing, which can result in a sudden loss of steering control.

Dealers will inspect the plug and replace the steering gear as necessary, free of charge.

Additionally, Volvo Trucks is recalling certain 2025 VN, VNRe, and VHD trucks. The drag link may contain an improperly heat-treated ball stud that can fail, resulting in a sudden loss of steering control.

Owners are advised not to drive their vehicle until the repair has been performed. Dealers will inspect and replace the drag links, as necessary, free of charge.

Owner notification letters for both recalls are expected to be mailed August 2, 2024.
